Audit Manager

We are currently seeking an audit manager to join our team. The ideal individual will have a demonstrated ability to assume full responsibility for directing engagements and special assignments, review workpapers, financial statements, and conduct discussions with clients.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the efforts of multiple engagements and ability to manage budget
  • Supervise engagement team and review workpapers
  • Participant in performing audit procedures, especially on complex and/or specialized issues
  • Identify and consult with clients on the impact of new accounting pronouncements
  • Most show a critical assessment of reliability of client information and planned audit approach throughout the engagement
  • Draft financial statements and related footnote disclosures
  • Monitor tasks and assignments to ensure completed timely
  • Communicate with engagement team on the status of the engagement and help resolve client issues that arise
  • Participate in planning and execution of client engagement in collboration with the partner on the engagement
  • Develop technical knowledge
  • Participant in internal CPE courses sponsored by Zapken & Loeb LLP

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in accounting
  • CPA certification required
  • 7+ years of prior CPA firm experience
  • Diverse industry knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong financial statement preparation experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage staff on multiple engagements
  • Ability to recognize and resolve issues
  • Proficient in CCH Engagement and PPC SMART is preferred
